*a game changer for nervous dogs*
Debbie has been an absolute lifesaver in helping us make the 1st steps towards helping my dog with discomfort in his back end. Debbie has, over the past few weeks, compiled a gait and posture analysis and supporting video which I've been able to submit to my vet. My dog is terrified of strangers amongst other things so a physical vet examination would be almost impossible. Debbie has a wealth of knowledge and experience with 'reactive' dogs and really helped us to remotely gain all the evidence she needed to compile the report. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Debbie to anyone, she has, without a doubt, changed my boy's life for the better.

Debbie was extremely organised in arranging Hughie's training sessions. Due to completing a questionnaire prior to the first session I felt she already had a good understanding of what we both needed. Her resources were well organised and her sessions clear and informative and also reassuring... getting to know the triggers for Hughie through her talking through different situations was great. Feedback after each session in the form of an email was immediate and extremely useful to reflect on. I feel Hughie and I have a better relationship and I have a clearer understanding of what he needs. Having used her techniques consistently over the last 2 to 3 months Hughie is a happier and more confident little dog and we are loving his new try and take it in my stride attitude rather than having a complete meltdown which was how he used to react in certain situations after having a traumatising experience as a young pup. Can't recommend Debbie at Paws and Train enough. We had a great few days staying at her training accommodation. Debbie is so observant and picks up on some much regarding the way you interact with your dog, the body language from the dog and then helps you to understand and progress with your training. She gave us so much useful information, training tips, games and ideas. We took both our dogs and worked with them together.
The accommodation is lovely and in a beautiful part of the country, so when not on a training session there are plenty of places for walking, visiting and eating.
If you need help with your dogs, to build a better bond or just to progress your training Debbie is perfect

We asked Debbie to come round and see us and our 4month old golden retriever Dexter. He’s pretty well behaved but as a family we all seemed to be teaching him in different ways and needed to find a method of training we could all use together. Debbie was brilliant, she visited for 90 minutes and gave us some awesome training methods and the change in Dexter after that initial visit was amazing. When I took him for a walk previously we’d drive down to the beach but he hated getting in and out of the car, we tried Debbie’s ramp and with a little persuasion he was in and out no problem, just hope the ramp I’ve ordered turns up soon, makes life so much easier! We’ve also got little games to play with him which mentally stimulate him and he’s also now got a quiet area which he’s getting used to. I’d 100% recommend Debbie at Paws and Train, she’s awesome and knows what she’s talking about.

We have been working ongoing with Debbie for coming up to a year on zoom and I can honestly say she has changed the relationship I had with my dog in such a positive way.
As well as supporting me with muzzle training him ( difficult due to his touch sensitivity) and dealing with other issues such as resource guarding, she has taught me so much about understanding his needs and changed my mindset completely. She is a calm and reassuring trainer who as well as giving my boy confidence, has also spent a lot of time building my own confidence
My dog has gone from a very anxious boy who couldn’t even be given a puzzle toy to a confident, exploring pooch who loves nothing more than a good old snuffle. Believe me when I say I never thought it would be possible for my dog to enjoy enrichment activities !
We have a long way to go on our journey still but I am confident that with Debbie’s support, skills and sense of humour , that it will be a fun and interesting ride

Our rescue boy Bodie didn’t get the best start in life and as a result was nervous and easily highly aroused. This has presented some challenges. Debbie has helped us so much; she has such an amazing knowledge of dogs, their behaviours and body language. She is very intuitive to what he (and us) needs to help us improve. With her support, we have seen Bodie become a calmer, more relaxed dog over the last few months. And we have become calmer, more relaxed guardians!
The training has often been simple but very effective and always realistic.
Debbie is very caring with a great sense of humour and we keep in touch regularly in-between face to face sessions.
We are facing a new challenge with an unexpected change in routine setting Bodie back a bit but I know with Debbie’s ongoing support, we will navigate our way through it.

Most challenging year of my life, and the support we have received from Debbie has been outstanding.
She supported me through one of the most challenging situations ever. Support with training and adapting to new circumstances online and over the phone. Travelled hundreds of miles to help us put together a training plan for my nervous and reactive whippet, Alfie. And amazing follow up support with any concerns and questions.
